Google Analytics

The shared page layout loads Google's Google Analytics 4 (GA4) JavaScript, gtag.js, on each page and configures the measurement ID G-PGXZR145JR. Its standard configuration sends a page-view measurement when a page loads. The site code does not wait for a consent choice or include a cookie banner, analytics settings panel, or on-site analytics opt-out.

For the page-view configuration, the site removes the query string and fragment from the page-location and referrer values it supplies to Google, and sends the page path without those values. Calculator settings that differ from their defaults are written into the page URL, so this helps keep those settings out of these configured analytics fields. It does not remove them from a request to the hosting provider when a URL is opened or reloaded, and it does not determine what additional Google Analytics property features may be enabled.

Google says its GA4 website tags can use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and sessions. Whether and how long those cookies are used can depend on browser and Google Analytics settings; this site's code does not set a cookie lifetime or a data-retention period. Google receives the analytics requests and may process page and technical information to provide its service. Calculator inputs and links

The calculators do their arithmetic in your browser. The site code does not send the values you enter to a Teranautics application server. Values that differ from the defaults can be stored in the page's query string so you can reopen or share a scenario.

If you reload or share one of these URLs, the URL, including its query string, can be visible in browser history, to anyone who receives the link, and in the request sent to the hosting provider. Do not put sensitive information in calculator inputs or shared links.

Hosting and technical requests

Teranautics is built as a static website. To deliver a page, the hosting provider receives a request from your browser, which includes your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, and technical request details. A URL with calculator values can include them in its query string.

The project files do not identify which provider currently hosts the live site or establish what request details that provider logs, how long it keeps them, or who can access them. We therefore cannot describe provider-specific logging or retention here.

Email and other services

The Contact page contains email links, not a website contact form. Choosing an email link opens your email application. If you send us a message, your email provider and the systems that receive the message will process it. Send only information needed to handle your request.

The website serves its fonts from its own files and has no account registration, newsletter form, or embedded social-media feed in the project code. External links open other services, which have their own privacy practices. Google Analytics is the third-party script described above.

Your choices

This site currently has no on-site control for accepting, rejecting, or changing analytics preferences, and its code does not stop the analytics tag from loading based on a choice. You can use your browser's privacy settings to block or clear cookies; blocking cookies may limit cookie-based identifiers, but does not by itself stop the analytics script from loading. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which can prevent Google's Analytics JavaScript from sharing visit activity with Google Analytics. That add-on does not stop requests to the website's host or other forms of measurement.
